our story.
january 2017
LMU requires all freshman to take a rhetorical arts course. our options were to study the bible, or take a class about baseball. with some convincing from our friends, separately, we both decided to take the baseball course.
on the first day of class, mimi walks in and ignores john’s first words to her, “there’s an open seat here.” she sits in front of john anyway because the professor tells her to.
the next few weeks, mimi and john find small windows of time to awkwardly glance and or wave at each other around campus.
over the course of the semester, they begin to hang out and haven’t stopped since.
fast forward
november 2021
mimi went home for thanksgiving and asked john to housesit. he never left.
yay now they live together!
july 2022
after years of mimi begging, john says yes to a cat.
john gave birth to their first born son, deku*.
*if you don’t know who deku is, you shouldn’t be coming to this wedding.
november 2024
after seven and a half years of dating, john proposed to mimi on a trip to paso robles.
he proposed at denner winery under the tree of love.
